The following is and actual interview with Lindsay Lohan that got extremely awkward. The interviewer was actually an intern who was a last minute replacement for the reporter (who had the flu). He was quite nervous. Needless to say he was let go from the station shortly after.
Hello, I’m Rebecca Field with today’s UPI entertainment update on this Wednesday, March 12, 2008. Britney Spears is animated in her new music video. The pop star is shown as a futuristic anime superhero in the video for her song Break the Ice. The song is off her album Breakout. A British newspaper says Spears came up with the idea herself and thought it would be a fun way to do her new video. Friends of the singer say she’s ready for a serious comeback. Janet Jackson is recovering from the flu. Sources says the singer was apparently taken to an L.A. hospital earlier this week for shortness of breath. Her rep says she’ll be fine and just has the flu. Now she’s reportedly trying to rest up and get better. Jackson has reportedly cancelled this weekend’s appearance on Saturday Night Live. Paris HIlton and rocker Benji Madden now have matching rings. The rocker was seen around town wearing a glittery ring with the initials PH….possibly for his new reported love interest Paris Hilton. Over the weekend the hotel heiress was seen with her own glittery ring…with his initials BH. The two have reportedly been dating a couple weeks now. Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey is making a difference in the real world of medicine. The actor, known for his role as Dr. McDreamy on the show, is opening up a cancer center in Maine. The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing is a place where cancer patients and their family can get information about the disease and support. He’s reportedly opening the clinic in honor of his mother who is now in remission from ovarian cancer. It’s set to open March 31. Nick Lachey is working on a new MTV reality series. Hollywood Reporter says the singer is producing a pilot for what the network calls a reality version of the film and TV show Fame. The series, which hasn’t been named yet, will apparently focus on the lives of students at the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Ohio…the same school Lachey once attended. In fact, she’s doing so well she was able to see her kids earlier this week, earning the second face-to-face visit she’s had with them after almost 2 months of being prohibited from visitations. Ex-husband Kevin Federline’s bodyguard accompanied the Sean Preston and Jayden James, along with a court-appointed monitor, plus ever present father Jamie Spears, and, of course, an attorney. Speaking of attorneys, it was ruled by a judge that Brit’s conservator case involving her dad will NOT move to a federal level, and will remain at the Los Angeles Superior Court. Attorney Jon Eardley was found to not have enough proof that he was actually representing the pop star, but bad news for Brit’s camp. The judge declined to award the attorneys fees to the conservatorship, meaning Brit will have to pay over $40,000 in legal fees for something that wasn’t her fault! BUMMER! She may have been the face of BeBe but now she’s the face of the West Hollywood Sheriff’s office. Early this morning Los Angeles district attorneys filed charges against former O.C. star Mischa Barton. The young starlet was charged with four criminal counts stemming from a DUI arrest from December, including marijuana possession and driving without a license. Her first hearing is tomorrow and we’ll see if she might see some jail time. And so much for Pam Anderson’s latest marriage. I mean, come on, we all knew this was going to happen! Who marries a man from a famous sex tape?? The blonde bombshell has filed papers seeking an annullment of her marriage to bad boy Rick Salomon.
